Our story at Easy Birth Classes

I’m Maria, founder of Easy Birth Classes, and I have been working as a nurse since 2010, supporting adults, mothers and babies throughout their healthcare journey. I have been registered with the NMC (Nursing and Midwifery Council), the UK’s professional regulator for nurses and midwives, since 2014. I currently work as a Practice Nurse in a GP surgery in South West London.

Through my daily work, I meet many mums who have questions, concerns or anxieties about breastfeeding, birth preparation and the postnatal period. I see how important it is for women to have clear, trustworthy information and the confidence to understand their own bodies and make informed choices.

As a mother of three, I also understand pregnancy, birth and motherhood from a personal perspective. I know that every pregnancy and every birth is different, and that having the right knowledge and support can make a real difference to how confident and prepared you feel.

I created Easy Birth Classes to bring together my professional experience, healthcare knowledge and personal experience as a mother. My aim is to provide practical, evidence-informed and supportive education that helps expectant parents understand their bodies, prepare for birth, feel more confident and approach their journey into parenthood feeling informed, empowered and supported.
